Amidst the woo-hah over the Southern Ridges, I went to explore this new and FREE attraction with Marzuki and Raymond. Our first outing that is true to its name - an outing in the outdoors, not in a cinema or k-box room. This is also my post-exam treat that kept me alive through the mugging (:
We started from Alexandra Arch and route-marched, sorry, I mean trekked, to Mt Faber. Along the way there are some nice sceneries, like Hort Park, the maze of Forest walkway, view of city from Henderson Waves. There were also some structures that were cam-whore inspiring (:

Too tired from 3.6km of walking, we took Parks 409 from Mt Faber to Seah Im Hawker for a cheap and sumptuous lunch. After that have to
tahan body stickiness, as a result of dried perspiration from the walk, for two hours until we watched Chronicles of Narnia in the evening with Alwyn. Luckily it was a good show that was able to take my mind off the sticky skin. 100 x BETTER THAN FORBIDDEN KINGDOM.

I am impressed with the Draft Masterplan 2008. Definitely more exciting than the 2003 one because most the areas that need to be developed/re-developed, ear-marked as "Growth Areas" in the Masterplan, were formally addressed this time. These include places like Kallang, Jurong East and Paya Lebar. There are more concrete plans now. Some ideas intrigued me, like a second storey air-conditioned walkway from Kallang MRT to Sports Hub. We can do away with Service 11 (heheheh) since it would be more convenient to walk there now, even for Persons-In-Wheelchair. Such a walkway should be built in Orchard too.
Integrated with the Transport Review from LTA, Draft Masterplan 2008 definitely has a wow factor to it.
Stressful First Week at School
I bade farewell to 6 months of LOBO life on 25 April. Went kbox on 26 apr before getting bombarded with facts again. It was hello to student life again from 28 April. This is the last time I'll be a full-time student...
