The Thrills of Taking the Nokia Music Bus

It was after church when I waited (actually I did not wait) for 156 when it came as the Nokia Music Bus. What was supposed to be a boring bus ride en-route home became very refreshing. The driver was friendly, the deco looked hip and unique, the advertisement panels blocked out the glaring afternoon sunlight! I sat in the solo chair, then the sofa, then the bar seat - pretty hard to balance when the bus was moving. Even tried writing on the bar table while the bus was on the move -- possible!

How I wish there were more Nokia Buses. But wait, if we had more they won't be special anymore.. Ok let's hope the Nokia Buses will stay...

The Autocar...

... is so much easier to drive than a manual car. I was fascinated the fast acceleration and the absence of engine brake. The car model which I drove was Honda Civic.

Didn't knock the pole down at the autocar ramp!

Night driving

Went for my driving lesson (1950h - 2130h) today. Had a shagged day of work having to chase people to submit their donation cards. Being a loanshark isn't easy afterall. Managed to squeeze a half-hour nap after lunch, but still very shagged as I worked non-stop till knock off time 5.30pm. After that ate dinner, showered and rushed to BBDC.

We (my driving instructor and I did 40 mins of circuit. I knocked down the two rear poles during parallel parking. After that we drove on the road on Test Route 3, however there was a slight deviation, a freaky deviation for me - my instructor told me to turn into the petrol kiosk to pump petrol. Shit damn scared I turn too much and scratch people's car. Worse still, I was scared that I
ll hit the petrol pumps and explode! But things didn't turn out either way.

Night driving is damn shagged. Need the extra concentration as the road is very dark. Very scary to check blind spot because once I turn my head, I see a sea of dazzaling lights. You don't know whether the motorcycle is behind or beside you. Sometimes beside you also cannot see!

Since I was the driving instructor's last student, I asked if he could give me a lift back to camp. It was a half-truth - I ended driving myself back to camp! Before we left BBDC, the instructor peeled off the BBDC stickers and I felt like wtf, I'm not a student and have to be subjected to real-world traffic! Was the most nerve-wrecking experience ever because I was dealing with real-world traffic. It was also my first time travelling on the new Brickland Rd Extension enroute to Sungei Kadut. I was somewhat steady on straight road, as my driving instructor said, because it's "your camp's territory".

Heart still pounding fast after driving.. cannot sleep
