A Jade Emperor that speaks English?!
For once, I went somewhere else besides Orchard to meet Raymond, Alwyn and Marzuki. We met at Vivo City. I have to take 963 which passes by workplace AIA Alexandra, but I don't feel sian because I enjoy working there. Anyway, I slept until HarbourFront, so didn't get to see the office.I was the latest, late by 15mins. Marzuki was supposed to be late but he took a cab instead. And I looked so under-dressed. We went to disturb Hyril at Challenger and TCC, before watching 'Forbidden Kingdom'. Never do we get to see Jackie Chan and Jet Li acting in the same movie. And also, never do we get to see a Chinese period drama with characters speaking English. The most hilarious was the English-speaking Jade Emperor. As Marzuki wrote on his blog: "1 word to describe it, 'CRAPPY'. Weird show with such a 'duhh...' ending. And what with the 'Gate of No Gate'? Crazy name. Didnt really enjoy it at all." Chope - I enjoyed the movie though. But once is enough for a Chinese period Hollywood blockbuster.
Ate at Thai Express right after the movie. Laughed at the good old army times again... wait, did I say GOOD old ARMY times?
The day ended with the forecast of event. We shall drive to Mt Faber to enjoy the night scenery the next time we meet up.
