HC's celebration was *cough, there's still room for improvement. The musical performances were good but the skits were rather lame. When friends said that the concert was better than what they saw in their alma mater, I wondered how sucky teachers' day can get. There were councillors on duty to keep us from slipping out. What's the point of resorting to this when the main audiences for the concert were teachers? And the organisers were an hour late. You can't blame us for leaving early because we had to pay tribute to teachers who made it possible for us to study in hc!
Anyway...
Went 'home' today... to acsi. Saw long-lost friends... Those from acjc somewhat turned out tall and big sized.. I was dwarfed. Time was just right for us to pack into the packed auditorium to watch teachers' day concert. There was a magic show this year... drong and f tan were called on stage and there were some suggestive scenes. Then there was the familiar trio! The skit was specially catered for graduates and I was touched that the teachers remembered us. the 3 teachers, who acted as ACJC students now, were still as funny as ever. Skit was targetted at ACJC students for 'ponning' lessons to return to acsi.
It's a strange feeling thinking that, one year ago, I was sitting at those chairs watching the concert and staring at the seniors who came back from time to time. I just marvel at how time flies and oh well... I'm happy in hc but I can never be as happy as I was in Ac. Once you see the ugly side of humanity, nothing can make you as happy as before. Just miss those days.
Squeezed my way through the crowd into the staffroom. met ms chew. didn't meet other teachers sadly.. the staffroom was empty and locked by the time I finished eating!
