Went to Sentosa today with the Taiwan Exchange ppl.. Saw the way they threw tantrums. So we hosts owe them a living? Are WE supposed to clean up after them? The japs were at least a million times nicer in terms of courtesy.

And someone should really learn that he has a good host. He doesn't have to sleep on the floor and hard mattress, has a room to himself; has a host who brings him around; a host family who takes good care of him, painstakingly explains what the heck is this 'little red dot in the sea of green' to him, showers him with good food, ensures that he is 'zen zen'(*jap, means absolutely) ok and talks to him about his homeland.. All these efforts, and yet, he doesn't appreciate it. What did this host family get for closing one eye to his short-comings? More attitude problem and no word of thanks. Only a chinese phrase can describe this: shen zai fu zhong bu zhi fu. He needs a friend to tell him that his host is unhappy before he can wake up his idea. Even so, I observe not much changes. I think not having manners is unredeemable.

Absolutely appalling.
