This morning, there's this joker, who wrote "teenage textbook", that came to hwa chong to crap. His 1-hour long idiosyncratic speech was filled with lame jokes and practical jokes out of the different faculties in hwa chong (unfortunately he is an old boy). Criticising rj as a joke shows how petty he is. When he said that the S7s weren't laughing at his joke because they have no sense of humour, I thought it was the exact opposite. It is the majority of Singaporeans who have no humour and chose to laugh at his lame crap. Either that the laughs were sacarstic and to give him the much needed encouragement to bullshit for 1 hour.

After this "enlightenment", i got back my Maths paper today. passed overall.

Was nervous but kept quiet. There were many apparent A students claiming that they were very nervous and suggesting that they will flunk. Then concerned friends would counsel them by saying how good their results were and there wasn't a need to worry. I thought it was bragging rather than flapping. Obviously they would have calculated their approximate scores immediately after the exams and knew they would have gotten an A. But humans like to hear nice stuff.

Others were truly nervous because they were really on the bringe of flunking, and did not utter a word.

Then the results came. The A students complained instantaneously that they are angry and disappointed because they did not score 90+ marks like the literally creme la de creme. What's wrong with feeling and admitting that you are happy with your results? Again, the deep-rooted chinese mentality of hypocrisy and self-denial. This behaviour pisses more people off than if the A students were to admit that they were satisfied with their results. If they were sincere about their disappointment, my heart goes out to them as they have to learn the hard way that life is imperfect.

During the chem lecture later, one S7 guy sitting 2 rows in front of me was frantically copying his friend's scores from a classlist (*gasp!). It's so tiring to look behind your back while you're walking forward in life...
